Schaffer Consulting Panel on Contemporary Healthcare Issues

A focus on the challenges and benefits of physician-hospital system alignment.

As part of Schaffer Consulting's work with health care leaders around the country, we are co-sponsoring a panel on Contemporary Healthcare Issues with the Yale School of Management and the Connecticut SOM Alumni Chapter.

Our first panel will focus on the challenges and benefits of physician-hospital system alignment. In Schaffer's recent survey of hospital executives , physician-hospital system alignment was rated as one of the most important and most difficult challenges facing the industry.  

Leading the panel will be Bruce Cummings, CEO of L&M Hospital in New London, CT.  As CEO of L&M since 2005, and a leader of hospitals in New York and Maine prior to L&M, Bruce brings deep experience and insights to the issues facing hospital systems, including that of physician-hospital system alignment.
